Emperor Dragonfly

The Emperor Dragonfly is the largest UK dragonfly species and apart from its size it can easily be recognized by its bright colouration and highly territorial behaviour as it flies endlessly well above the water’s surface. The Emperor Dragonfly has expanded its range in to northern England in recent years and has now been recorded in Scotland.
