Fieldfare
The Fieldfare is a large, colourful thrush similar to a Mistle Thrush in general size, shape and behaviour. They are very social birds and spend the winter in flocks of anything from a few birds to several hundred, often associating with flocks of Redwings.

The Fieldfare is a winter visitor to the UK arriving in October from northern Europe and returning to their birch, pine and alder wood breeding grounds in March. In the UK they can be seen in open countryside with grass fields, berry-bearing hedgerows, orchards and gardens.
